Goals for 2011
- Increase the Foyer-École profile
- Have a promotional presence at ‘Meet the Teacher’ night
- Build a Foyer-École e-mail list for direct communication with interested parents
- Acquire a digital camera for use at F-É events
- Display a notice board in the foyer of the school to post photos and notices of recent and upcoming Foyer-École events
- Continue to set up a booth at school events in order to promote Foyer-École initiatives
- Improve lines of communication with parents
- Continue to post Foyer-École meeting minutes on the school web site and advise parents in the weekly school notices
- Send out a volunteer survey (similar to 2010)
- Invite La FPANE to visit our school to encourage parent participation and the importance of keeping the Acadian language/culture alive
- Poll parents to see if anyone has a hobby or interest that they’d like to share with an after-school club, or an area of expertise they would be willing to speak to the students about during class time
- Host a career day where parents could share their experience and career information with the students
- Have funds available for costs of ground preparation associated with the playground equipment from the Blockhouse school
- Have funds available for class trip bussing
- Settle into the new school and find a permanent storage space for Foyer-École possessions before the end of the 2011 year
